"For the last few years my friends and I have reunited from our far-flung homes to play a grand tournament of Risk: Lord of the Rings Edition. Given the official title of "Dorkfest" last year, the event was further sactified by the addition of professional-quality custom T-shirts from CustomInk and dubbed "Dorkfest II." "Our daughter Amanda was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at 7yrs old in Oct 2007. This was for our first walk in her honor so we formed Team "Pump It Up" and raised money for JDRF's walk for a cure. We had 68 walkers join our team in Shelburne, VT on June 8th. It was a huge success! "This weekend was started in 1998 with only 6 girls. It has grown every year. We spend a weekend away from husbands and children, in a cabin in the middle of 180 acres in Peacham, Vermont. Lots of food, drinks and dancing. We range in ages from 26 to 60, mothers and daughter, friends and family. We had blast working on the design for our sweatshirts and pants, can't wait until next year to create our next outfit!!!!!"
