PPNT’s participation in Komen is a way for the agency to give back and show support for one of our vital partners in early cancer detection. The t-shirts were fantastic and everyone loved them. Our daughter Rachel, in the middle holding the extra shirt, was diagnosed early this year and she wanted to make a difference. The shirts were her idea. "Our meeting on Cell-Cell Fusion (...Science!!) was booked in hall with only plastic "high school" chairs to sit in for 4 days and 5 nights of talks. As the Chairperson organizing the meeting, I was not psyched about fielding complaints about 120 pains in the a**! So my choice for souvenirs was dead obvious SEAT CUSHIONS!! Here are the conferees still smiling after the whole meeting was over. They thought I was nuts on Sunday, but by Thursday I was a genius! Planning to pick up my Nobel Prize in Ergonomics next year!"
