"On April 15, 2008, my Exercise Science fraternitt (PEK) and I held an event called Glow Stick it to Cancer at Truman State University in Kirksville, MO. It was a 2-mile fun run/walk at night around a track to raise money for Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society. Each of the 300 participants was given glow sticks and neckales. The event was a HUGE success and we raised over $2000! CustomInk helped out tremendously with this event, and helped create some amazing GLOW IN THE DARK t-shirts! Everyone loved them, and the track looked so awesome at night with everyone's glow sticks and glow in the dark shirts! In our lifetime, we will see a cure for cancer, not because we wished for it, but because we worked for it. Cancer is something that affects each and every single one of us on some degree of a personal level. Whether it be ourselves who is fighting the cancer fight, or a parent, a sibling, a relative, a friend, a coworker...we all know someone who is battling a cancer diagnosis. It is onle in coming together as one with events like Glow Stick it to Cancer that we can hope to win the battle against cancer."

"The even that we used the lovely Custom Ink was for the MS walk 2008 in new york city . Our team name was The amazingly strong sheehans and their awesome sidekicks! And we walked to raise money and help find a cure to multiple sclerosis. "When our son was accepted into the Univ. of Arizona's College of Pharmacy 4 years ago, we started planning this trip to Hawaii as a reward for all his hard work. (We never had a doubt of his success!). Our daughter and her family came, as did my two sisters from Kansas. The baby hadn't even been thought of when we started planning, but she was a welcome addition to our group! We drew some looks as we walked through several large airports, but made it so easy to keep track of each other, especially the little ones! We love our shirts! Whenever we wear them back on the mainland, we will be reminded of a memorable family trip!!"

"My family and friends participated in the Walk With Us To Cure Lupus walkathon on June 8th, 2008 in Long Island, NY. It was the largest turnout for lupus research in the Walk's history and we were one of the largest teams there. Even though it was the first heatwave of the summer, everyone including our mascot, Godiva, finished the Walk! It was great having everyone there to support the cause that affects our family today. We even ended up winning a t-shirt design contest...it was awesome! Thanks Custom Ink for the our award winning tees!"
