NYC Marathon Weekend (and the weekend I got engaged!) by Liz_R-to-be - Dec 10, 2007

Picture of NYC Marathon Weekend (and the weekend I got engaged!)

"I had these red windbreakers made for a group of us that went to NYC in November to support my boyfriend, who was running the marathon. Our cheering section included my parents, his parents and me. We headed out there on a Friday, and did some sightseeing on Saturday. While my boyfriend and I were on a carriage ride through Central Park, he proposed and took me completely by surprise. Then he woke up the next morning and ran 26.2 miles, while we cheered him on in the streets of New York wearing our matching red jackets. It was an amazing weekend, and CustomInk helped to make it even more special and memorable!"

College Bound by College_Bound - Dec 8, 2007

Picture of College Bound

"I teach 29 seventh graders in the South Bronx in one of the poorest congressional districts in the country, to be more specific. Because I wanted to reinforce to my students that they will achieve their goals despite the many burdens they already face, I bought them these shirts from customink.com that say, "College Student," on the front, and "Class of 2017" on the back--the year they WILL graduate from college. We wore our shirts on our first trip of the year and were proud at the promise the T-shirt holds--dreams, opportunities, a better life. My experience with customink.com was amazing. My shirts are perfect, and customer service was professional and considerate. If I win this contest, I will buy some of my new students "College Student" shirts so that they remember that they can achieve anything they put their minds to."

We had over 80 people walk with us this year and all of them loved the t-shirts. We even had a few strangers ask how they could get one of our shirts!"

Race for the ROC by Wolf - Nov 13, 2007

Picture of Race for the ROC

"This is a photo taken after a charity walk/run for the Saratoga Springs, NY Radiation Oncology Center. The center treated my father when he was diagnosed with Lung Cancer over a year ago. He now survives with one lung, and this 3 mile walk was a huge accomplishment for him as well as support for the ROC that helped in curing my father. Aside from his friends and family being there for the event I had T-shirts made by customink.com that said “I’m on Wolf’s Team”. When Wolfgang arrived at the Saratoga Race Track for the walk/run he was surprised to see T-shirts on everyone. It was just what he needed for motivation to complete the distance. Wolf is in the back center of the picture."

Avon Walk Youth Crew Rocks New York by YouthCrew - Nov 2, 2007

Picture of Avon Walk Youth Crew Rocks New York Picture of Avon Walk Youth Crew Rocks New York

"This photo was taken just before the Closing Ceremony of the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer New York, a 39.3-mile Event that took place October 6th and 7th. This Avon Walk was the largest ever...the Event's 3900 participants raised $10.2 million! The Avon Walk Youth Crew was a pilot program in New York this year, allowing young people (ages 10-16) to participate and experience the entire Event. This program suggests that young people are capable of contributing to the Event, can get an enormous amount out of the service, and can enhance the experience of all Walk participants--as the Youth Crew says, "we're too young to walk, but we're not too young to care." The pilot was so successful that there will be a Youth Crew in all 9 Avon Walk cities in 2008...thank you Youth Crew!"
