"A friend of ours found out she had Hodgkins last year, so 2008 and 2009 we did relay for life and dedicated our team to her. She held on strong and defeated the cancer!! And relay for life is now offically a yearly tradition for us!! Last year we took bronze in our town for raising money!"

"Wharton Women hosted a campus-wide campaign to kick off National Breast Cancer Awareness Month at Penn – Penn Thinks Pink! On October 1st, Wharton Women hosted Hala Moddelmog, President and CEO of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Her speech and the fundraising effort was a great way for organizations to collaborate and show our solidarity in the fight against breast cancer. Our goal is to raise awareness about breast cancer and raise $5,000 for Susan G. Komen’s Philadelphia affiliate. So far (with the help of our t-shirts!) we've raised $3,500!"

"Our church has a team each year for the Relay For Life in Tulare. This is a 24 hour event that raises money for American Cancer Society. Our team ALWAYS has so much fun and this year with our matching shirts the rest of the event got to see how we were the whole event, because they saw our shirts. "We treated our GU11 soccer travel team to new training and tournament jerseys. Although the team colors are red, we thought a cool training jersey color would be apropo for the PANTHERS. We put the girls' nicknames on the back of the shirts: Honers, KK, Sandy, Punker, Mini Me, Air, Thing 1, Zombie, Hail, Crashley, Pooda Girl, and Bubbles to add to the fun. Not pictured: Kedals & Boo. "This photo was taken shortly after we received our Juniorette T-shirts. We wear them to fundraising events so the community knows who we are. Juniorettes are gals ages 9 to 18. We spend the year raising money for the Town of Southbury, CT and our surrounding community through friendship, fun and sharing. Since September 09, we have donated over $1,400 to local charities."
