"We were forced inside for our event because it rained on RAINN Day, go figure! RAINN Day was created by the Rape Abuse and Incest National Network to increase awareness about sexual violence on college campuses across the nation. RAINN Day 2008 was on September 25th. The students in this picture are peer advocates and wanted to be the (Em)Power Rangers, which explains the different shirt colors. The pink ranger was by far the most popular t-shirt selection."

"We were at an event in Uniondale, Long Island to raise awareness about pro-women, pro-family legislation. At the event, which was sponsored by the Justice:PLEASE Coalition, we got a chance to meet DMC of the rap group Run DMC. We gave him our shirt and he held it up for our picture."

"For the last few years my friends and I have reunited from our far-flung homes to play a grand tournament of Risk: Lord of the Rings Edition. Given the official title of "Dorkfest" last year, the event was further sactified by the addition of professional-quality custom T-shirts from CustomInk and dubbed "Dorkfest II." The battles were fierce, the tension between us was high, but we found a few minutes on the first night of the reunion to climb to the higest point in town for the sunset. "My mom has Polycystic Kidney Disease and received a kidney transplant about a month ago. My mom and her donor (a long time friend) are holding the posters in the front row of the pic. Since our two families are bonded forever, we named our team "Kidney In-Laws" - this is our team pic. Mom wasn't up to walking, but was well enough to join us! "These are our daughters at the walk for Livie (Lulu-3rd from the left). She was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes last year and we wanted to make her first JDRF walk special. We had 45 team members! "Biomat USA is a plasma collection company. People donate plasma and we make medication for burn victims and hemophiliacs. We we invited to participate in the National Hemophilia Foundation Walk in Houston Texas on September 6, 2008. We were the single largest fund raising team and we were the largest team to participate in the actual walk as well. We raised just short of $15000 for the event. In my opinion we also had the best shirts... LOL"
