"This picture was taken in San Diego Nov. 11,2007 after 9 of us walked over 60 miles in 3 days along with 4600 other women and men in the Susan G. Komen for the Cure 3-day walk. Our team raised over $23,000 to walk which contributed to the 12.3 million raised in this walk for the cure of breast cancer. We are from Kansas City, Iowa, and Tuscon and got alot of wonderful comments on our shirts. CustomInk did a wonderful job of designing our shirts with the pink ribbons and the Jayhawks."

"The event this was taken at was the 2007 memory walk for alzheimers research. I formed a team for my grandmother who has had alzheimers for the last 11 years. My mother, and me have been my grandmothers primary caregivers along with my aunt. This year however has been a tough year and each moment that we have left is a very special one. When I formed this team I chose the name bluebirds because my grandmother loved sitting and watching the birds everyone day at her house and her favorite was the blue birds! I had the most wonderful experience with customink and will use them each year that we walk in this most awsome event! The staff was very helpful each step of the way and the website was so easy that I had no problem designing the tshirt that I had envisioned! Thank you custom ink for this wonderful experience!"

"My mother, Gaga (so named by my daughter as a baby...she loved the name so it stuck!) was diagnosed in March with lung and brain cancer. She has been undergoing chemo treatments ever since. Needless to say, it's been pretty rough for her, healthwise.
In September of this year, the company I work for sponsored a 5K walk/run in Overland Park, KS. We knew right away that we needed to participate in this walk. It was not hard to get a large team together of people who love Gaga and wanted to support her as she battles her illness. Also, the walk happened to fall on the same date as Gaga and Grandad's 40th wedding anniversary! It was a joyous day all around. We raised over $2700 as a team which all goes toward brain cancer research.
But what topped the day off was that Gaga was there to surprise our team, finish the walk with us, and cross the finish line! (Gaga is in the green shirt and Grandad is standing to her left.)
CustomInk did a great job helping us out with special shirts to commemorate the occasion. They also provided exceptional customer service. Thank you so much!"

"Every year the women in my family and friends come together. We walk for a cure, celebrate the survivors, and remember those that we have lost to breast cancer. We are the Karma Queens and we participate in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure event in Austin. Part of what makes us the Karma Queens are our t-shirts. CustomInk makes our team stand out with our beautiful and very creatice t-shirts. This year we actually got lots of compliments on how nice our shirts were. Thank you CustomInk for helping to make this year's race the best one yet."

"Shawnee Mission School Nurses created a team to support the Susan G. Komen Foundation during October Breast Cancer Awareness month. CustomInk's bright and comfortable "Passionately Pink" T-shirts helped the Nurses promote donations for cancer research as they wore them in their schools and community. Like a pebble tossed into a pond, support grew bigger than the initial team as more and more people joined the effort, including CustomInk's donation. Thank you for your generosity and helping to make this a successful fund raiser for cancer research!"

"As a family team led by Ryan (a 8-year-old Type 1 diabetic), we joined other walkers and teams in raising funds and awareness at the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's Walk (JDRF) to Cure Diabetes on October 21st in Franklin Lakes, NJ. All of the other teams were admiring the GREAT t-shirts from Customlink! It was easy to order and they came out AMAZING!"

"This photo was taken just before the Closing Ceremony of the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer New York, a 39.3-mile Event that took place October 6th and 7th. This Avon Walk was the largest ever...the Event's 3900 participants raised $10.2 million! The Avon Walk Youth Crew was a pilot program in New York this year, allowing young people (ages 10-16) to participate and experience the entire Event. This program suggests that young people are capable of contributing to the Event, can get an enormous amount out of the service, and can enhance the experience of all Walk participants--as the Youth Crew says, "we're too young to walk, but we're not too young to care." The pilot was so successful that there will be a Youth Crew in all 9 Avon Walk cities in 2008...thank you Youth Crew!"
