The New York City Gay Men's Chorus has been participating in this event for years and raised over $23,000 towards the $7 million total this year. "My mom has MS and our team has been raising money for research for 7 years now. I've wanted to create team shirts for a number of years. Online I found another MS Chapter in California had used CustomInk.com to create team shirts so I thought this would be a great resource. It was! "I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis when I was 19 years old, 3 years ago, and decide this year it was time to do something for this crippling disease that I deal with on a daily basis. I often find it hard to walk because of the arthritis in my ankle, but push myself to keep active. My family and friends in this picture walked 3 miles with me on May 31, 2008 to recognize arthritis. "We formed Team Hope for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life because hope got us all through a very tough time. Our teammate's mother died a month ago after being very sick for a long time. Not only was it torture to watch her go through that, but she left behind a beautiful family who misses her immensely. We walked in remembrance of her and these shirts really brought us together as a team so we could fight cancer in style! :-)"

We formed Team Superman to raise money for the CF Foundation in memory of our best friend (and super-man), Andy Biddle, who passed away from CF at age 35 last June. "Team Marissa walked on May 18th, 2008 in the annual Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Walk to find a cure in Rochester, NY. Marissa was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in May 2007 so this was our first team event. We had 22 (2 mia for photo) team members and raised $2400.00 for research. We pray each day for a cure!!!! CustomInk was an amazing company to work with, the customer service reps were always friendly and beyond helpful. I will DEFINETLY be using them to design shirts for our annual walk in the future. "Team Carol's Angels participated in the Muscogee County Relay for Life '08 raising over $1800 for the American Cancer Society as a team!!! This was our first Relay event and we all look forward to participating again next year and raising even more money!! Our inspiration, Carol, is the spikey blue haired beauty to the far right.
