This was my sixth year as team captain, and our first year with official team shirts! Our team walked and ran on a cold and rainy day to raise money for City of Hope in order to fund Breast Cancer research, treatment and awareness. Breast Cancer is a much worthy cause, and I'm so proud of our team's dedication to honor friends and family who have battled it! "These customed designed capri pants were designed for our team, the Pink Ladies, who participated in the San Francisco Komen Race for the Cure on September 23, 2007. The charity event was a 5K walk and our team was walking to support a close family friend, Julie, who was recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Julie will be undergoing a mastectomy and chemotherapy in the next few weeks, so she really needs our well wishes and support. Together, with the generous support of customink.com, we were able to raise over $3,000 in funds to support innovative outreach and awareness programs for medically underserved communities in the San Francisco Bay Area and national breast cancer research."
