Many of these women have children to support, and all of them lack the help of family members who were among the 1,000,000 who died during the 90-day genocide. Rwanda Gift for Life ensures that women in rural areas have transportation to medical clinics where they receive medicine to keep AIDs at bay, healthy foods, trauma counseling, and school supplies and uniforms for their children. With the assistance provided by Rwanda Gift for Life, women who had no hope are now glimpsing futures for themselves and their children in which they can earn adequate livings and support one another in the challenges of daily living. This ride goes from SF to LA over 7 days and the team supports cyclists riding the event by treating them for injuries.
