"Our team participated in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Light the Night walk on October 4th, 2008. My boyfriend, Kevin Patoc, unfortunately passed away this summer on July 5th, 2008 from complications related to an infection he developed while in the hospital for a cord blood transplant he was getting for treatment for his leukemia. Family and friends came together to walk and honor his memory, and ended up raising over $2600+ for cancer research, with the fervent hope that one day soon we will find a cure for this terrible disease.
