"A year ago, I was laying on the couch recovering from a round of chemotherapy. One year out, a group of my friends came to Des Moines to show support for breast cancer at the Race for the Cure. Events like this have become very personal. My experience was very tolerable, and I believe it's the result of organizations like the Komen Foundation that raise money for awareness, research, and prevention. Our shirts are part of the memory." -

I was part of Cadman's Crew and it was an amazing experience. We received a lot of second glances thanks to our wonderful shirts! It was wonderful to band together to help create awareness, emphasize the need for self-exams, and to support a wonderful friend who was able to beat cancer and become an inspiration to all who know her.
